Spam Advice…

My friend…Christy Birmingham…issued a challenge the other day…to take Jane Carrollfour spam comments from your blog…and create a poem with them…

Well… she is a poet…so that’s easy for her…not so much for me…but…I will take the challenge and include them in my blog…and…Bertha…will comment on their significance in my life…cause she says…nothing is wasted…there’s always a lesson for me to learn…

Thankfully…on the day that I pulled them…there were no annoying men’s medication posts…I do get them regularly…but…lately…they are really making an effort for them to sound almost plausible…here goes…

“Your tone and enthusiasm really shows in your writing.”

Well…Bertha…agrees with this one…pointing out that my tone and level of enthusiasm…good or bad…show…in everything I do…not just my writing…reminding me to strive for my very best attitude…every day…

“I’m very thinking about learning more about your site.”

Bertha…reminds me of all the times…I say…I’ll think about something… knowing full well that I have no intention of doing it…

“Usually, I don’t read long posts, but it was absolutely worth the time.”

Here…she’s reminding me…to step out of my box…do the things I don’t normally do…because…it may just be…absolutely worth the time…

“Keep helping people and you’ll receive everything you need in life.”

Even though…this one smacks of a Fortune Cookie…Bertha…says that it is absolutely true…and is actually very wise advice…

Hmmm…I better check the URL of that post…sounds like…Bertha…has been hacking the blog…

Circumstantial Forgiveness…

Bertha…is urging me to forgive any unpleasant circumstances in my life Jane Carrolltoday…those circumstances…where there’s really no one to blame…but…things just aren’t going the way I want them to…and…I feel the need to blame someone…anyway…

Okay…I don’t have to dig too deep…to find a couple of examples…past and present…but…I’m not exactly sure how to forgive a circumstance

She says that I begin by forgiving myself…reminding me that I am the common denominator in all of them…so…I forgive my part in the situation… she says that may look like…resistance…guilt…shame…blame …victimhood… whatever the feelings that I am having…connected with the situation…

Then…she says…I should let go of the…need…for things to be different…and just accept what they are…while keeping my sights set on where I want to go from here…

She says it’s like going on a trip…I may not enjoy all of the scenery along the way…but…I don’t get frustrated because I know these places are only temporary…and…if I just keep following the map…I’ll arrive at my destination in no time…

Then…she brings up the alternative…forty years…wandering the desert

Hmmm…forgiveness sounds much better than…wandering…
