Faking It…


Bertha…is encouraging me to be…a…fake

That’s right…I may have mentioned that I have several…lofty goals…that we have been working with…so…yesterday…she suggested that…I fake it until I make it

What…how can I do that…

She said it was easy peasy…and she took the goal of being at my ideal weight…

Hmmm…I’m not going out dressed like I think I’m already there…I’ve seen those pictures from Wally World…and…I don’t want to be one of them…

But…she said I didn’t have to wear the clothes…I could just shop for them…but she said there were other options…what color would I wear if I were at my ideal weight…and she said…wear it…

Then she asked what I would eat for breakfast if I were at my ideal weight…

Well…probably something light…

Perfect…eat it…

She went on to ask…what kind of music I would listen to…how I would move my body…that kind of thing…and in most instances…I could do them now…which she said…already had me thinking and acting like I was at my ideal weight…and…she said…with that kind of thinking and acting…it wouldn’t be long…before my body would follow along…

Bertha…said it works the same for all of my goals…

So…if I were a really famous author…how would I start my morning…ummm…coffee…then…blogging…

  1. Again, Bertha’s sage wisdom carries the answer. I have used and taught the process of thinking she suggests. As you practice it you actually step into BE-ing the role you are assuming.

    I had fine, thin, straight hair for most of my life. I finally started asking myself those same questions…’for me to have wavy hair I would use what shampoo’, for me to have wavy I would eat xxx for lunch’. Finally at 59 my hair started to wave.
