I went outside Saturday morning…after a summer shower…and was met by the smell of every plant in my yard…the basil and the mint…the rosemary and lavender…the roses…and then…all the blooming shrubs and weeds…I suppose I shouldn’t have been surprised by the intensity of the fragrance…but I was…I guess I thought the rain would wash the scent away…
Bertha…laughed…as she danced tippy-toe in the wet grass…dodging stray raindrops…and said…it’s a lot like life…we think that the rains…AKA…struggles…will wash away our sweetness…when in fact…they do just the opposite…magnifying…and making us more of who we are…
Ahhh…breathing in the sweetness…of my life…and garden…
Jane…
That does sound like a majestic scent! It looks like it may rain here tonight so I will have to step out in the morning and have my nose going to see what scents are around me 🙂 Many hugs and thank you sweet friend for all of your support with the book and beyond! xo
