Tooting the Horn…for…Burns and Hughes…

Bertha…and…I love the comedy of…Burns and Allen…they played their roles so well…he the straight man…and…she the anything but straight woman…it worked…they were a team…one wouldn’t have been funny…without the other…together…they were hysterical…together…they made…history…

But as much as she loves…George and Gracie…Bertha…loves another Burns team even more…the team of…Burns and Hughes

Tamy Burns…and…Kimberly Hughes…make a perfect team…when it comes to writing…Tamy…is the historical buff and researcher type…and…Kimberly…is a writer extraordinaire…and…just like Burns and Allen…it takes both talents to make it work…

And…work it does…Burns and Hughes…have teamed up…to rewrite history…more or less…in their…What She Knew Trilogy…it’s all about…Marilyn Monroe…

Their first release…Fateful Night…has been spellbinding readers…here’s a blurb…so you’ll know why…

With the country mourning their favorite sex goddess; the real Marilyn, in a secret location, struggles to live. It will take all her strength to not only survive, but to play the role of a lifetime and rescue the man she loves from certain death.

I must admit…I’ve been spellbound…myself…and highly recommend the book…

But…the best part is…the second book…Darkest Day…will be released on…September 17, 2013…so…you won’t be left…hanging on the cliff…as long as I have been…

Oh…and the really best part…is…that in honor of the release of Darkest DayFateful Night…is on sale…for only…99 cents…so…another reason to grab a copy…today…

Bertha…says that…Burns and Allen…and…Burns and Hughes…have one more thing in common…they are both making…history…to…suit themselves…

Hmmm…wonder if I can do that…

Jane

PS…There’s a release party on…September 20th…and…of course…you are invited…hope you can come…

PSS…Darkest Day…is already live on Amazon…so…grab it while it’s fresh…

The Brightest Crayon…

Okay…I admit it…I’m not always the brightest crayon in the box…or maybe…it’s just that sometimes I don’t get out of the box…case in point…my friends Tamy Burns and Kimberly Hughes…authors of…Fateful Night…a novel based on the premise that Marilyn Monroe didn’t die…announced a contest…in honor of Marilyn’s birthday…for the month of August…

It was pretty straight forward…all you had to do was make a comment on a blog post containing your favorite Marilyn quote…I’d seen some of the prizes…they’re pretty cool…I could enter…except…I don’t know any Marilyn quotes…oh well…a prize would have been nice…but…not to be…

I was going to leave it at that…until…Bertha…reminded me…after I went to bed last night…that…I could Google…how could I have forgotten that…so much for good night’s sleep…

First thing this morning…I Googled…and quickly found my favorite quote…actually…Bertha…picked it out…

“Give a girl the right shoes, and she can conquer the world.” ~Marilyn Monroe

I copied and pasted it into the comment section…I may not win…but…at least I have a chance…which is the lesson that…Bertha…was reminding me of…we wrote about it first in a story from…Bertha-Size Your Life!…called…Lottery…when…Bertha…explained the difference between…being lucky and having a chance…

Seems as though…I can’t win the lottery if I don’t have a ticket…can’t win a contest if I haven’t entered…can’t be hired for my dream job if I don’t apply…and…the list goes on and on…

Okay…enough blogging for today…this little crayon is getting out of the box…
