Last night…I went to bed…expecting a winter mix of freezing rain and sleet before morning…now…ice…in the south…frequently means…power outage…so…I prepared by making sure the laptop, cell phone, Kindle, and portable internet hotspot…were all charged…I also had a flashlight on the bedside table and a couple of extra blankets on the foot of the bed…
Now…thankfully…although I woke up to the wintery mix…it was more sleet than ice…so we kept power…but…being prepared…had given me peace of mind…and I’m sure I slept better knowing it was all done…
Bertha…was proud of my preparations…but she reminded me…that in life…I can’t always foresee the potential power failures…so…I need to stay prepared…making sure my spirit is fully charged at all times…
And…she says that…prayer…meditation…contemplation…appreciation… forgiveness…reading good books…singing fun songs…dancing in the moonlight…loving others…eating healthy…exercising…and just being a little playful…done daily…will keep me charged…and ready to go…
Oh…and she’s right…on the days I take the time to do even a few of those…I’m ready to face the storms…
Jane…

Oh…I am, Hella…haven’t left the house…but will probably venture out in a couple of hours…the sun is bright and it’s warming up so I should be fine to scoot about. Have a wonderful day! 😉
Great post dear Jane…
I love Bertha’s words when she reminded you…that in life you (we) can’t always foresee the potential power failures, thus I (we) need to stay prepared…
Having a fully charged and balanced spirit and attitude are probably the main points to keep in mind~… I am wishing you a wonderful weekend … Love, Aquileana 😀
Thank you for your kind words Aquileana…wishing you the best of weekends as well!
I will do my best to be prepared for future storms too then as you and Bertha suggest. Hugs – and it’s almost spring… almost!!
Yes…almost spring…and then…we have tornadoes! But…I’ll be prepared and I know you will be, too!
