Recently…Bertha…challenged me to start using her advice in a different way…she wants me to think of a question…the randomly select one of her wise…Berthaisms…for the answer…
So…this morning…when I had no idea what to write about…I asked…what should I write about…and chose a Berthaism…and got…
What works sometimes…doesn’t work every time…and…the trick is…to know which time it is!
Hmmm…okay…
I guess I could relate this to…choosing a Berthaism won’t always be the way to determine my blogging topics…but…Bertha…whispers that she’s telling me…not to get complacent…not to get stuck in my ways…
She reminds me of my daughters when they were babies…just when I thought I had it all figured out…nothing I tried would work anymore… now… whether they were going through a new developmental stage…or were just bored with the way I’d been doing things…I’ll never know…but…she’s right… what worked one time…definitely didn’t work another…
Back to the present…it is easy to get complacent…to do the same things over and over again…without taking the time to realize that I’m not necessarily getting the results I want or need…Bertha…says the key to not getting stuck…is to be flexible and willing to try new things…sometimes…even before the old things don’t work…
Hmmm…guess it’s time to shake things up a bit…

Leave a comment if you’d like your very own Berthaism for the day…
This is just what I needed to hear today, thank you both x x x
So glad it resonated with you Joy. 😉
Ain’t it the truth… I can sure relate… I can get immobilized from either or both complacency and fear…
But if/when I do the same things over and over and expect different responses— I go nuts… ( I need to take a different path today) one step at a time…
Hugs
Hella, you are right…complacency and fear although seemingly opposite…have very similar results. Take that step! 😉
