Last night…while I slept…the election results were carefully followed by media across the country…there were concession speeches…and…acceptance speeches…made and cheered…and…it wasn’t that I wasn’t interested…just that I was tired…so…I woke up this morning…with a burning desire to know…
Not having a lot of extra time to devote to the pursuit of this knowledge…I turned to the quickest…and most comprehensive…news source…that would give me the results of the two elections I was most curious about…President of the United States…and…Superintendent of Lawrence County…AKA…my boss…
That’s right…I went to…Facebook…and within about two posts…I knew what I needed to know…and it took less than three minutes…I couldn’t have channel surfed any quicker…or waited for the commercial to be over…
Now…you might be thinking that I could have checked Twitter…and that would be true for the Presidential election…but not the local one…no…Facebook was definitely the way to go…
I think I may have said it before…a bunch of times…a bunch of ways…but…I love social media…love how it keeps me connected…all over the world…and…right in my backyard…
Of course…Bertha…had something to say about it…she has something to say about everything…
Her question was…so…if it’s not posted on Facebook…did it really happen…
Hmmm…good question…sounds a bit like the tree in the forest…wonder where I can find the answer…Facebook…Twitter…Google…
