Begin with the end in mind…the second of Stephen Covey’s…7 Habits of Highly Effective People…
I decided to apply the principle this morning…since I didn’t have a clue what I wanted to write about…I spaced down a few lines on the page…and typed…Jane…since that is normally how I end my posts…
That really didn’t seem to help much…or…maybe it did…because…it made me curious…what exactly did the habit say…what did it mean…so…you know what I did…I Googled…I’m so predictable…
Surprisingly…what I found on Stephen Covey’s site…didn’t say anything about typing your name at the bottom of the page…although I suppose that can be part of it…
Habit 2…is all about getting clear about what you want…and visualizing it…because things are created twice…first in the mind…then in the physical…
Bertha…jumped on the concept like a kid on a trampoline…reminding me…that…I’m somewhere in the middle of my dream…but…kind of like those nighttime dreams…when I can’t seem to find my way out of a building…I haven’t spent enough time…visualizing exactly where I want to go…I keep looking around…opening doors that lead to nowhere…because I don’t have a clear idea of what the door I’m looking for looks like…
Wow…I’m not quite sure how she got…here…from…there…but…she nailed me…once again…so I suppose I’ll spend some time in the contemplation chair…clarifying my dream…
Jane
Oh…wait…I already wrote that…
