Spread the love
Bertha and I have been talking about Physics latelyā¦and how it relates to my lifeā¦particularlyā¦cleaning houseā¦she dug up my old college notesā¦who knew I was really gonna use any of that stuffā¦anywayā¦hereās what she pointed outā¦
First there wasā¦Newtonās First Law of Motionā¦it goes like thisā¦a couch potato will remain a couch potatoā¦unless motivated by an outside forceā¦(AKAā¦Berthaās boot in the bootieā¦knocking her off the sofa)ā¦butā¦once the potato is movingā¦she will continue movingā¦unless motivated by another outside forceā¦(AKAā¦something really good on TVā¦phone callā¦snackā¦good bookā¦bird flying by the window)ā¦
That made a lot of sense to meā¦andā¦yesā¦thatās the exact definitionā¦wellā¦these were my notesā¦I may have summarizedā¦
Next there was the Law of Random Disproportionā¦which I canāt find when I Googleā¦probably should have listened betterā¦maybe one of you Physics majors can help me out with thatā¦ohā¦you donāt read my blogā¦hmmmā¦
Anywayā¦right name or notā¦it basically said thatā¦it takes less energy for the potato to keep her house neatā¦than to straighten it when itās really messyā¦
And lastly there was something calledā¦Entropyā¦The Second Law of Thermodynamicsā¦that basically says the potatoās house really wants to be messyā¦and no matter how many times the potato tidies itā¦itās gonna be messy again in secondsā¦especially if the potato has several little spuds running aroundā¦
So basicallyā¦hereās the dealā¦the potatoā¦is gonna lie on the couchā¦until something motivates her to cleanā¦then once cleaningā¦she will keep cleaningā¦until something motivates her to stopā¦hopefully in the vicinity of the couchā¦cleaning would be a whole lot easier if the potato could be motivated to clean frequentlyā¦but it really doesnāt matterā¦ācause the house really wants to be messy anywayā¦
Wellā¦I think that says it allā¦nowā¦am I feeling motivated…no…but I suddenly want French Friesā¦hmmmā¦
