Today…Bertha…wants to spotlight…our friend…G Mitchell Baker…he’s a very talented writer…in several genres…who…just happens to have moved to our neck of the woods…so…we were able to spend the day with him…
One frequently asked question for authors is…where do you find your inspiration…but…rather than ask him that question…Bertha…decided to just pay attention…and figure it out for herself…and…it didn’t take her very long…
Interestingly…for Mitch…any and everything…seems to provide inspiration and novel lines…his main criteria is that it be original and interesting…and…we all know…that describes…life in the South…to a tee…
So…what did he find to be interesting during our outing…and what can we expect to find…nestled in his upcoming books…
Kudzu…I guess they don’t have a lot of it in…New Mexico…or…Canada…although…we could ship them a ton of it…and it would never be missed…
Tennis Shoe Tree…Bertha…is still petitioning to have it declared the…Eighth Wonder of the World…or at least…a shrine…
Sipsey Wilderness…could there really be areas that haven’t been inhabited for over a hundred years…
A car horn blaring on a quiet Sunday morning…kinda…sorta…like the tree falling in the forest…but not really…
A train crossing a river bridge…hmmm…that could go almost anywhere…pun intended…
Thankfully…as I mentioned…he writes in several genres…including a critically acclaimed paranormal series…Lethal Believers…contemporary fiction series…Emerson…upcoming releases…Young Adult Science Fiction series…ANNT…and…in Young Adult…Soccer Tommies Baseball Mommies…there always seems to be a story rumbling around in his head…and all of this Southern inspiration…will be put to good use…
Be sure to check out his books on Amazon…and…see…if maybe…just maybe…you can guess what his inspiration has been…until now…and…maybe…just maybe…Bertha…will show up on his page…
Well…stranger things have happened…he does write fiction…
Jane
Awesome!!!! I agree with everything you said Jane. Let’s hope it doesn’t go to Mitch’s head. There is enough going on it that brain of his. 🙂
