Yesterday was one of those days…I got so much done…I enjoyed what I was doing…had a great workout…did the laundry…balanced the checkbook…got gas…remembered to refill my prescriptions…checked on my mortgage options…bought groceries…cooked food for the week…cleaned the kitchen…more than once…did some other things…and…went to bed feeling great…with the aroma of chili still in the air…
It was the kind of day…that I would like to bottle…so I could open it up…and…pour some out…on those other kind of days…
Like…the day…I couldn’t drag myself out of bed…lying there a full two hours longer than I had intended…getting to the gym four hours later than my intention…forgetting to wash the hand towels…forgetting things on my grocery list…
Oh…wait…that was yesterday…also…
And…that…was…Bertha’s…lesson to me yesterday…there is joy in every day…sometimes…you just have to look for it…
I’m glad I listened to her…I’m glad I looked…and didn’t let…guilt…over my late start ruin my awesome day…
Jane
WHOOHOO! It’s never to late to be inspired and take action toward your accomplishments! I got a “late” start yesterday too but got a huge burst of inspiration and began working on the rewrites for my upcoming book, Life Lessons from the Heart: From Disownment to Healing. Cheers to moving forward!
Thanks for your comment, Teresa. So good to know that I’m not alone in my experience! Inspiration makes such a huge difference…glad it got you writing!
Congratulations for an awesome day! Many times it’s the little things that count the most. I think that is why Chapter 8 in “Bertha-Size Your Life!” is my favorite chapter. I love what that chapter teaches! When I first read it I almost rolled on the floor laughing at the end, literally! Thank you Jane for so much inspiration! BTW… nice new Pic!
Thank you so much, Mary! Get the Pom Poms definitely is an important chapter…makes such a huge difference in how we see ourselves and our accomplishments. Oh, the picture…I actually ‘clipped’ me out of a group shot when I went on a bicycle tour of the Yadkin Valley Wineries near Winston-Salem, NC. It was such a fun trip…exhausting…but fun!
