Today has been interesting so far…I woke up late…my computer froze and I had to totally shut it down…now I’m not so sure it’s running right…
Interestingly…Bertha…has something to say about that…shocking…I know…but…my first response…was to force the situation…kill…conquer…whip the day into shape…take charge…
Well…you probably get the picture…and…maybe you would have the same response…
Anyway…Bertha’s…take on the day…is to let it evolve as it will…she reminds me of the phrase…what we resist persists…and that as much as I want to take control and show this day who is boss…it would actually be in my best interest…to slow down a bit…pull back…and see what the morning is trying to tell me…
Okay…the first one is easy…I’ve not been getting to bed as early as I really need to…hence…I was tired this morning and fell back to sleep five minutes before I intended to get up…I had a bit more trouble with the computer issue…but she reminded me…that I was struggling with what to write about…would it be this or that…and…I was a bit frantic about the time thing…the computer shutting down…showed me that the world wouldn’t come to an end if I didn’t write anything…that I could spend that extra time in meditation…or reading…life would still go on…it also narrowed my focus…and gave me a topic…
Hmmm…she’s right…I’m actually right back on schedule…not sure how that happened…but I bet…Bertha…will be all too happy to tell me…shhhh…don’t tell her I asked…
Jane
Interesting blog today, Jane. I have been up since 3 am couldn’t sleep my legs kept jumping because of muscle pain…been working ever since I got up, but noticed that my mood this morning was not good either…little things were irritating me…I think I might need to borrow Bertha for the day, is she up for a road trip? 🙂
Bertha is always up for a road trip…she’s already jumping in her ’56 Thunderbird with roadmap in hand! Have a wonderful day…I’m sure you will!
Maybe I should explain the first part of my above comment, by interesting I meant perfect timing 🙂
Funny…I knew what you meant…
I had an unscheduled day, and while I was wondering what to do, the first workman called, he is buying and installing some new kitchen units for us, and wanted to clear up a couple of anomilies. No sooner had he gone than the boiler serviceman arrived and asked if he could do the boiler service now, as he was passing by anyway. He started to open up the boiler, only to find that the cupboard around it was actually resting on the top of the boiler, which meant two things : 1) the boiler hadn’t been serviced since the cupboard was erected round it, 5 years ago, and 2) the cupboard had to go. So I had to empty the cupboard and clear the area around it so Rog could take it off the wall. It was lucky I had nothing planned for this morning.
Such perfect timing for everything, Joy! Awesome that you had the time for everything that needed to be done. Have a great day!
