Bertha…gets bored with just rattling around in my head sometimes…and…decides it would be fun…to pick someone else’s brain for a change…even as I type that…it sounds gross…but…as they say…it is what it is

Anyway…today…she wanted to get to know more about…Brenda Perlin…an up and coming author on the Indy scene…with her first release…Home Wrecker…getting great reviews…it’s a soul-wrenching saga of personal struggle for emotional fulfillment…in fact…here’s a bit about it…

When Brooklyn meets Bo, their lives are instantly turned upside down. Each unhappily married to someone else, they have to decide whether to stay with their spouses or give up everything for each other.

Home Wrecker is the first book in a three-part series that follows the main character, Brooklyn throughout her childhood, adult life and what seems like an “endless” journey towards redemption.

Brenda…lives in Orange County, California…and has spent most of her working life in the physical fitness arena…she is now an independent adult contemporary fiction author…her unique…provocative…writing style evokes emotional responses in her readers…

Okay…let’s get started…Brenda…Bertha…wants to know…what one word you’d use to describe yourself…

Goofy!

Hmmm…as you sure you’re describing yourself…and…not…Bertha…well…moving right along…before you have time to answer that one…what super power would you like to have…

I love knowing things that I should not so it would be fun to be a fly on the wall. Gosh, the stories I could share!!!

Well…I think…Bertha…could give you a few pointers on that…she always seems to know what I’m up to…but…then again…I don’t think I could handle two of you doing that…so…forget I mentioned it…

Mentioned what?

You’re my kind of girl…discreet…now…can you discreetly tell us what authors you admire…

I admire anyone brave enough to call themselves and author. It takes a lot of guts, hard work and determination. I love all my author friends like Kim Mutch Emerson, Arlene R. O’Neil, John Emil Augustine, Lisa Day, Paige Bleu, Melanie Toye, Jessica Kong, Wancy Gance, Natalie Walker Idrogo, Martha Emms, Jill Landers-Lieberman, Patricia Macias, Tammy Moore Novak and the list goes on and on. I love them for their amazing talent and ongoing support.

Wow…that’s some list…I’m familiar with some of them and have to agree that they are amazing…writers…and human beings…

So…what is the title of your newest release…

Home Wrecker

Interesting title…what compelled you to write this book…

I was going through so much at the time. I needed an outlet to get me through the difficult days. Also, I felt I had a story worth sharing.

We all have days…when we just aren’t motivated…how do you keep yourself going when that happens…

Sometimes I just need to sit in front of the computer and push myself. Often that gets me out of my slump.

I know what you mean…I think we’re conditioned like Maslow’s dog…sit in front of a computer and words start flowing…so…when you’re writing…do you take notes…organize your characters and plot…or…do you write freely as you go…

I do take notes but I’m not at all organized. I do write freely but sometimes I get an inspiration and I have to jot it down. If I don’t I know I will never be able to remember it.

I know what you mean…I had a great idea for a blog one morning as I was checking my email…didn’t write it down…and…well…I never wrote that blog…still bugs me…

Now…for a personal question…how old were you when you finished your first book…

46. It was really years in the making. I started writing it when I was 29 and engaged to be married. So much has changed since then!

Okay…doing the math…that makes you…hmmm…well…let’s just say it makes you still be a whole lot younger than me…and…leave it at that…

Brenda…it has been a delight to chat with you today…

I hope everyone will join Brenda…on…AmazonGoodreadsFacebook…she…also has Facebook pages for…Home Wrecker Book…and…Home Wrecker: The Brooklyn and Bo Chronicles…of course you’ll want to visit her…website
