Last month I saw the magic of the blue moon…I’m sure I’ve seen one before…but this time I was aware of it…savored it…consciously took a walk in it…appreciated the rareness of it…
This month is the full harvest moon…the moon immortalized by song lyrics…and…last night it was truly worthy of song…
It first showed its face…in the Eastern sky…behind a thin veil of clouds…clouds in movement…that gave the moon the appearance of dancing…just a bit…later…after it had danced across the sky to the South…the veil had been lifted…revealing a beautiful moon…surrounded by a clear sky…and then…a perfect circle of clouds…making the fairy ring for my garden…such a beautiful site…
This morning…the moon greeted me…peeking through the trees from the West…having danced the night away…
Such a simple thing…watching the moon…basking in the beauty of it…of the predictableness of it…the magic…when you think about it…but…so powerful at the same time…
And…where was…Bertha…during my moon gazing…I saw her gliding up a moonbeam…something about a date…with…the man in the moon…I like to think it was they who danced…
