This weekend…I spent some time in Memphis…home of…Elvis…BBQ…the Blues…but more importantly…my daughter…
In fact…we didn’t see the King…we didn’t eat BBQ…we did hear a bit of Blues along with some Lynyrd Skynyrd…while eating at a Mexican restaurant…it was definitely a multicultural experience…
We did…eat some good food…that fit my eating lifestyle…we visited with friends…went to the Botanic Garden plant sale…went to the Memphis Farmer’s Market…where there was a great musician playing 70’s music…along with the first strawberries of the season…we even managed a trip to Beale Street…well…we drove down it for a block as we left the Farmer’s Market…
But…more importantly…we talked…we made time for each other…
I came home…refreshed…behind…but…ready to roll…
Bertha…says there is nothing better than to spend some time with those you love…and for once…without contemplation…I can agree wholeheartedly…

It’s wonderful to get away & share those moments with loved ones. It’s important, too, like Bertha said. Behind a bit maybe. Feeling a deep-in-your-soul kind of rejuvenation afterwards makes it worth playing catch up. What could be better in this life?
Now, I need to make my trip to TN to see my daughter and visit the greenhouses in the Mennonite community of Muddy Pond.
You see what you’ve started? Daughter time and plants… 😉
Well…I’m glad I started it…I know your daughter would love to see you and you need to see her! Plants are just extra. 🙂 I have never heard of Muddy Pond…what part of TN? Thanks for stopping by.
What lovely family memories you created xx I had a BBQ with my parents yesterday and it was great 🙂 Hugs!
Ahhh…so you ate if for me…thanks! Yes, they are wonderful memories…sounds like you made some of your own. 🙂
