You can sink down lower than a mole…or rise
above! ~Bertha
Some mornings…when I’m not sure what to write about…I’ll select a Berthaism at random…today…is one of those mornings…
Once I chose it…Bertha…who had been quiet until then…chimed in with her explanation…
She says…I always have a choice in how I respond to things…even really negative or painful things…I can let them devastate me…or I can choose to look for the positives in the situation…I can find the lessons…the opportunities for growth…
She says the choice is all part of living my truth…and when I’m in one of those sunken situations…which make me…angry…sad…revengeful…or any of those unhappy of feelings…that it’s time to ask myself…is this my TRUTH…am I a person who seeks to sink lower than a mole…or…am I a person who wants to rise above…
For me…the answer is always…well maybe there’s a little grumbling first…I want to rise above…I want to feel the best I can…I want to be the person who feels and radiates love and joy…
And…then…I do the things that help me feel that way…meditation… contemplation… forgiveness…prayer…just to name a few…
Jane
Send me a message if you’ve been keeping company with the moles…I’d love to help you rise above!
Oh…and the picture is Bertha as a balloon jockey from Bertha-Size Your Life!…she said…flying a hot air balloon is a sure-fire way to rise above.
Meditation and prayer are great ways to explore life, the mind… everything around us… By the way, I like the way you put the quote from Bertha at the top of the post here!
Thanks Christy…I so agree…don’t know where I’d be without meditation and prayer. HUGS!
Just the right message, especially as cabin fever sets in for those of us at odds with Old Man Winter. Thanks, Jane.
Thank you Linda Lee…I agree…Old Man Winter can make it easy to join the moles…but I know you’ll find a way to soar with the balloons! 😉
I much enjoyed the post here and truly agree with the idea that it is always better to rise above through love than to remain stuck and sunken situations…which as you say “make us…angry…sad…revengeful…”… Truth will never come from those unhappy feelings thus love is always the best choice~★~
All the best to you, Jane. Thanks for sharing. Aquileana 😀
Thank you Aquileana…I always love your comments…they are so insightful! Blessings for a wonderful week! 😉
