Yesterday…I drove to work…in a Winter Wonderland…oh…there was no snow…but…the frost was so heavy…that the evergreens were as white as flocked Christmas trees…
As beautiful as that was…the interesting thing was…the fog…they called it…a freezing fog…which I suppose was responsible for the heavy-duty frosting…I’m not exactly sure of the phenomenon that brought it all about…being as I’m not a…meteorologist…and…I haven’t played one on TV…I just know…it was beautiful…it was eerie…it was quiet…it was peaceful…it was cold…
It took several hours for that…frosty fog…or…foggy frost…to burn away…but…when it did…it was a delightfully sunny day…warm…even…and I so appreciated the sunshine…
Bertha…said…it reminds her of life…mine in particular…that things are always changing…and…although…I can’t hold on to life…any more than the frost could hold on once the sun came out…that…I can savor the moments as they come…and…then…savor the ones that take their place…
Savoring…
Jane
Jane;
I Like this one… You are right I guess that foggy frost helps you appreciate the sunshine… One thing lead to the other…
As Your alter Ego, Bertha has well highlighted things in Life are always changing… As Hercalitus said: “No man ever steps in the same river twice, for it’s not the same river and he’s not the same man”.
Everything changes…So as we can’t hold on to life… what we can do instead is savor the moments as they come and go…
Hugs to you, Aquileana 😉
Thank you Aquileana…I don’t think I’ve ever heard the second part of the quote…but it is so true…we are never the same from one moment to the next. Thanks for expanding my insight!
