I did it…I completed the first two weeks of my strength training program…three workouts a week…getting to the gym at three-thirty in the morning…being the first one there…but…interestingly…not the only one…who knew…other people come to the gym early in the morning…usually by about four…
It’s becoming a comforting routine…I know…I get into my little routines so easily…but…honestly…I am enjoying this one…I like the way I feel after I’m finished…stronger…and…not just my muscles…it’s the feeling that comes from accomplishing something that I’ve decided to do…something that challenges me…that I’m…well…proud of…
I can tell that I’ve gained some strength…and…flexibility…although…my knees still creak and groan when I do squats and lunges…and I have to be very careful how I do them…I’m doing them…
And…I’m still using what I would call…baby weights…but…I am using them…and I know…in a few weeks…I’ll be moving on to…toddler weights…
Bertha…says these workouts…are a lot like my life…little efforts…done consistently…lead to big results…next…she says we’ll work on my checkbook…
Hmmm…
Jane
Great Job Jane!!I have been doing half an hour on my treadmill all January.I plan to start a leg and arm routine in Feb. Small steps are the best! Good luck
Yay, Cathy! Sounds like you are well on your way…the hardest part is getting started…don’t you think?
That’s awesome, Jane! I’m proud of you 🙂
Thanks, Christy…I’m pretty stoked about it. Just need to keep the momentum going!
