This morning…Bertha…grabbed my attention with this comment…tend to your own turnips…
Huh…I’m not growing any turnips…I don’t even like turnips…or the greens they root…why was she talking to me about…turnips…
Well…you know she was only too happy to fill me in…the rest of her gardening advice…went like this…
Tend to you own turnips…or they will rot in the field…while you’re peaking over the fence at your neighbor’s harvest…
Seems as though…Bertha…was chiding me not to concern myself with what is going on in someone else’s life…and…although…it usually it isn’t my nature to be competitive…I have to admit…I do have my moments…
So…I guess I’ve been reprimanded…I’ll be riding my own…turnip truck…from now on…I just hope I don’t fall off…

Thank you for reminding me to mind my own business today (and every day). I often get so caught up in trying to give advice to others that I neglect my own patch of weeds! Gonna be doing some weed-pulling and garden tending today!
Happy weed pulling! And, I’m happy to share Bertha’s lectures…I mean…advice…with you anytime…actually I thought of you as I was writing the post and the one you did about giving advice to young women. 😉
