Spread the love

Wow…I just had a nice visit…and dinner…with a close friend…she’s one of those friends…that I don’t get to see very often…and…we don’t even talk…all that much…but…the connection…is always there…right where we left it…it never fades…never goes away…

I truly love that connection…and…I’m fortunate…I have several good friends…that I feel that way about…

Living alone…I could very easily…get lonely…other than work…I don’t get out all that much…especially during the week…and…by choice…I rarely go to events

Bertha…says…you don’t have to be with the people you love to feel their presence…and…that…sometimes…there’s no lonelier place…than…a crowd…

Actually…she’s right about that…I’ve always felt lonelier in a crowd…than home alone…for some reason…I find it hard to connect to people…in a crowd…even the same people that I do well with…one-on-one…probably because…I’m an introvert at my core…with a splash of extrovertism…just enough to confuse things…

She also reminds me…that…being alone…isn’t the same thing…as being lonely…and…that…my connection to my friends…is what makes the difference…

Which makes me think of a line that I once wrote…it went something like…we may not be together…but we’re not far apart…now and forever…you’re always in my heart

So…thank you for the visit my friend…I may not see you again for a while…but…I won’t miss you…you’ll be right here with me…every step of the way…
